Our Work
Assessments & Deep Dive
Our work is focused on understanding and delivering ISP performance data. This helps the municipalities we work with identify the areas that need the most improvement. Our team conducts a preliminary assessment of the target region using multiple data sources to provide our most accurate estimate.
At the conclusion, a deep dive can be requested which may involve face to face polling with community members, additional factor inclusion, and in field data collection.
Analysis & Recommendation
At the conclusion of the deep dive, the team collates this information to form the truest picture of ISP quality in the area. This data serves as the basis for the team to conduct a thorough analysis of the information. From this, a recommendation based on all of the intelligence processed can be delivered.
This analysis and recommendation provides decision makers in the local government and municipalities to take actions that improve the welfare of their communities.
Pilot Program
Rolling out in Q4 2017, our pilot program is our answer to many of the challenges faced by these underserved communities. Communities that have participated in our previous assessments will have priority in testing and adopting the technology this pilot program delivers. The program will not only serve as a technological investment into a nascent technology, but also an economic one.
Why Internet?
Lack of Competition
There’s little differentiation and competition among existing Internet Service Providers.
75% of Americans have no choice when deciding on 25mbps+ Internet Connection.
40% of Americans have no access to 10mbps or it’s available from only one provider.
Price & Speed
The U.S. invented the Internet, yet we pay the most. In fact, the U.S. nationwide pays more across ALL ranges of internet speeds compared to the rest of the world.
Speeds in the U.S. are poor compared to other developed nations as seen below in the facts section.
Other Issues
Net Neutrality, abysmal customer service, data caps, fees, and restrictions on those who try to fix the issue contribute to the internet quality in the U.S. consistently ranking poorly in the rest of the world.
